This pendant is of the pretty harbour town of Tarbert, a small town sitting at the northern end of the Kintyre peninsula making a
gloriously attractive entrance to Kintyre.
The pendant outline is in the shape of Tarbert harbour, and Grant has artistically depicted loved features of the area to create a
conversation piece necklace to treasure.
Tarbert Castle sits above the town with superb views over the harbour and beyond. The original castle was extended and
strengthened by legendary Robert the Bruce who had a strong attachment to this area, and the ruins of this historic building sit proudly on
the skyline above the town.
Fishing was very important to the town in the past, and some continues. This remains a busy harbour, more so now as a sailing destination,
so both fishing boat and yacht are added as characteristic features of this attractive wee town.
Tarbert church is a building of fine architecture, dating back to the 1700's and very much alive today - a further feature which makes
Tarbert such a special place.
