If I lift my head from my work bench I have a view out across Campbeltown Loch. The loch has been important to me throughout my life: playing as a boy; sailing and windsurfing as I grew up; and now enjoying these water sports with my own children, and of course regular dog walks along the shore. On a calm summer's day there is nowhere finer, but also on wild winter days I love the raw strength that erupts from the sea
