With Kintyre's long and strong history of fishing it seemed appropriate for Grant to include a Celtic fish inspired design in his Celtic Kintyre collection. True to Celtic patterns, Grant has designed this hand crafted gold necklace with the gold threading its way in and out to create a beautiful, quality piece of designer Celtic gold jewellery.
Kintyre was traditionally famous for its herring fishing, and there is evidence of fishing in Tarbert as far back as 836 A.D.
It must have been a beautiful sight seeing the skiffs come and go between the harbours around Kintyre, though a very hard and dangerous life for the fishermen and their families.
